About AI Protections & Usage
We stand with our friends and colleagues during the current SAG-AFTRA Interactive Media Strike towards more comprehensive protections for performers and artists against AI usage. Thus, all of our projects will provide protections against AI, such as ensuring all participating parties sign the NAVA AI Rider. For union projects, we will ensure clients are signed to a SAG-AFTRA agreement not affected by this strike, such as the Interim Interactive Media Agreement , the Tiered-Budget Independent Interactive Media Agreement or the Interim Interactive Localization Agreement. For future clients, we are happy to work with you, NAVA, and SAG-AFTRA representatives to flip non-union project to union if possible to provide you access to a wealth of quality voice talent.

The Vojo Dojo Casa FAQs
We at the Vojo Dojo Casa House want to be transparent and honest, so we are sharing our Frequently Asked Questions, first with our roster then publicly so those who were not accepted this round can learn and be ready to submit when the roster reopens.Note that we make decisions as a team. If you were not accepted, please continue to audition, train, and stay active in the community. We kindly ask those who weren't accepted to not reach out to our personal DMs or emails to ask why you weren't accepted this time around. The journey doesn't end here; this is only the beginning!
About the Roster
If I’m not accepted into the roster this round, can I reapply if the roster reopens?
ABSOLUTELY! We encourage it! We will be reopening the roster periodically and will review every submission we receive. Note that submitting your information does not guarantee entry into the database. We will only send emails to those who are accepted into the roster. This is not a guarantee of work. If you were not yet accepted, we highly encourage individuals to resubmit to the roster when the submission window reopens, especially if you have updated information (such as new skills, equipment, demos, and/or credits). We will be sure to enable the "receive a copy of my responses" feature so that you can keep track of when/if you submit to our roster!
How many VAs are you looking to take on at this time?
We have no cap on the number of voice actors we admit into our roster; as long as you are a skilled actor, act with professionalism, and lead with kindness, we will gladly work with you!
If we can, how often are we allowed to update our information once we submit our applications?
You can update your information in the Vojo Dojo Casa House VO Roster Updates Google Form (coming soon!). You can list your name/alias and then whatever new information you have.
Is there anything about my experience, application, or resume that would prevent you from accepting my submission?
We evaluate submission based on all of these components and more. We make our final decisions as a team based primarily on acting ability and home studio quality. We highly encourage individuals to continue training and resubmit to the roster when the submission window reopens if you were not accepted, especially if you have updated information (such as new skills, equipment, demos, and/or credits).
How long will it take to hear back whether I was accepted into the roster or not?
If you received an acceptance email from us, congratulations! You were accepted! You’re golden! If not, we highly encourage individuals to continue training and resubmit to the roster when the submission window reopens.
Why do you ask for our real names and/or stage name/alias?
We want to ensure you are a real person (begone, robots and aliens shapeshifts!), but we respect your right to keep whatever information you want private. We will refer to you as whatever name you indicated (real or stage name) in your submission for future correspondence.
If I am open to NSFW roles in the future, would I be able to apply under a pseudonym?
If you submitted a stage name/alias, we can use that for future correspondence and crediting. No need to reapply; just let us know what you want to go by!
Will I get individual feedback on my submission/audition(s)?
Unfortunately, we do not have the time or capacity at this time to provide submission and/or audition feedback to every individual. If you were not accepted this round, we highly encourage individuals to continue training and resubmit to the roster when the submission window reopens, especially if you have updated information (such as new skills, equipment, demos, and/or credits).
Are there opportunities for roster talent to receive additional training or participate in workshops?
Currently, we are focusing on casting (and directing) efforts, but we would love to do this eventually (if you all want it)! One of our favorite resources, Master List of VO Resources (created by a fellow Casa housemate!), is a great place to find all things voiceover, such as classes, equipment recommendations, industry research, etc. If you are interested in future training/workshop opportunities from us (such as us collaborating with studios or guest directors), let us know and drop us some suggestions at [email protected]! (P.S., Currently, Jonna offers affordable, remote, one-hour 1-on-1 mock ADR sessions!)
How do I ask to be removed from this roster?
If you want to be removed from the Vojo Dojo Casa House VO Roster for any reason, reach out to us at [email protected]. We will then delete your information permanently. If you wish to be a part of the roster again in the future, you will have to reapply when the submission window reopens.
How do you promote your roster talent to potential clients?
We will promote our roster as one comprised of the best of the best; highly qualified, remote-capable, highly diverse, and entirely badass individuals ready to take on the world! We hope to bring you to clients all over the world so that we can showcase just how amazing you all are!
Any demo-producer recommendations?
There are many people out there, so we recommend doing your own research to see what works for you in terms of pricing, type(s) of demos you want to make, etc. This is not a comprehensive list, but some of our favorites are: Scary Good Studio, Lemon Toast Media Group, Thomas Halle, NSIP, J. Michael Collins, Real Voice LA, Tom Schalk, InvertedToaster, Joey Sourlis, Sound On Studio, Sound Cadence, Studio Topaz, David Sobolov, Kocha Sound, Marc Graue, and many, MANY MORE.
Does not having a voiceover website decrease my chances of getting into the roster?
No! Whether or not you have a voiceover website does not impact your chances of being accepted into the Vojo Dojo Casa House VO roster. We evaluate your submission on multiple factors, primarily acting ability and home studio quality.
About Auditions
What kinds of auditions will be sent out?
We will primarily be casting for Non-Union and Indie video games and animations, both paid and unpaid. However, we will send you the occasional Union (SAG-AFTRA) projects and ADR/Dubbing projects. All work will be done remotely (that is why we emphasize the importance of having a quality home studio). Be sure to check your spam folders for audition notice emails just in case!
Do you advocate on the talents’ behalf against AI usage in any way before talent searching for a client?
ABSOLUTELY! We are actors, too, and we are in full support of SAG-AFTRA and all the international acting unions, especially during the current Interactive Media Strike towards more comprehensive protections for performers and artists against AI usage. Thus, all of our projects will provide explicit protections against AI, such as ensuring all participating parties sign the NAVA AI Rider. We will only take on projects that guarantee this.
Would you be willing to get any interactive games to flip union?
ABSOLUTELY! We are happy to work with clients, NAVA, and SAG-AFTRA representatives to flip projects if possible. Union projects will count towards SAG-Eligibility. Please check with credible sources regarding union information, such as NAVA and SAG-AFTRA, for further information.
Will I need to sign an NDA?
Depends on the client, but general conduct is to NEVER reveal your involvement with a project until given explicit permission from the client or when the project is released. So always assume you are under an NDA (and everything that comes with that).
How will you navigate sending auditions based on my identities/what I am comfortable auditioning for?
We will do our best to send you opportunities that you are comfortable auditioning for/working on and that you are a good fit for. We want to ensure you have full agency to work on projects you want to participate in; you have every right to not audition for a role/project that you don’t feel comfortable with. This will not impact whether or not you will continue to receive opportunities from us or book roles. We will use the information you provided us to select and share opportunities that we feel are appropriate for you. For example, if we have a project that involves graphic violence and you indicated that you are not comfortable auditioning for those types of projects, we will not send those opportunities to you.
How will Union projects impact international talent (outside of the US)?
It's 100% possible for people outside of the US to work on SAG-AFTRA projects. Usually it's a matter of sorting the paperwork out with SAG-AFTRA and the clients to ensure you're brought onto the project properly (which is actually fairly easy). We are happy to work with you, clients, NAVA, and SAG-AFTRA representatives to get you Taft-Hartley’d (the process of being hire for a union production as a non-union actor and clears you to be included in union productions) in order for you to work on union projects, regardless of your location. Rules may vary depending on location, so please check with credible sources, such as NAVA and SAG-AFTRA, for further information.
Will auditions come directly from an admin of this roster, or will clients reach out to any of us directly whilst referring to the roster? Or both?
Our roster is private. Only Vikram, Jonna, and Vera have access to it. You will receive auditions from us from our casting email [email protected]. Sometimes, we may have you submit auditions with special instructions (such as to the client’s email) depending on the client’s submission requirements, but initial casting calls will be sent through our casting email. All further information will be specified in the casting call itself. We will primarily reach out to you directly, but feel free to loop in your agent(s) or representative(s) if you want.
If I were to get selected for the roster, what are the expectations for deadlines and turnarounds?
This will depend on the project and client’s needs. We will always indicate an audition deadline in the casting call (including the date, time, and time zone). For turnaround, we will indicate recording dates for projects that have live-directed sessions and/or deadlines for line submissions.
What are the primary qualities you look for in voice talent?
We want to work with people who are skilled actors and storytellers, conduct themselves with professionalism, and lead with kindness, regardless of their race, ethnicity, background, national origin, age, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, level of experience, materials/equipment, etc. If you can capture the performance and make strong choices in your auditions, that’s what we’re looking for!
Do you need a notification of when an actor decides to go on hiatus or is unavailable?
Not necessary, but highly appreciated! We will continue to send you pertinent audition opportunities during your break, but if you are unable to audition/recording during certain times, you can just skip over that opportunity. Being on hiatus and/or unavailable for certain periods of time will not impact your chances of getting future opportunities.
How do you handle conflict or disputes regarding casting decisions or payments?
We will do our best to honor the vision of the client while giving opportunities to those who are the best fit for the character/project. If there are conflicts/disputes regarding casting decisions or payment, we will address them only with the relevant parties. We will do our best to be as communicative with you as possible to avoid any misunderstandings. Do not hesitate to reach out to us privately if any issues arise.
What is your payment structure and process?
This depends on the client. We will communicate how payment will be distributed with you. Primarily, we will provide you the necessary information to send your invoice to the client. If not, we will ask you to send your invoice to us, and we will provide that to the client.
Will auditions only be sent or will there also be roles that we're just handpicked for?
This may depend on the client, but we will be casting off whatever auditions we receive, especially for larger roles. Depending on the project and what we need, we may reach out to individual people for smaller roles (such as walla/incidentals, additional voices, etc.), but this will not be common.
